Dear ACS families and friends,
I want to take this opportunity to share some general financial facts about ACS to help keep our current families and friends informed and to help answer some questions that people new to ACS might have.
Sources of ACS Income
The following chart shows the general breakdown of the sources of our revenue:

Contributions include designated and undesignated donations. Fundraising is the money received (after expenses) from the various fundraising activities, such as silent auctions, rummage sales, candy sales, Bowl-for-Youth, etc. Many of these activities also allow parents the opportunity to earn a percentage of the profit to offset their tuition expense under our Tuition Reduction Plan. Miscellaneous includes rental income and other income.
ACS Expenses
The following chart shows the general breakdown of expenses at ACS:

Instructional expense includes items such as textbooks and curriculum. General and administrative includes items such as office supplies, copier machine rental, and advertising.
One of our goals as a Board is to increase enrollment so that we have a better balance of tuition income and payroll/benefit expenses. We believe that cutting the programs that have made ACS a strong school both academically and spiritually is not a current option. We have invested specially designated income to advertise with the express purpose of making the community more aware of the excellent biblically based education that ACS provides to the Fox Valley area.
The Board carefully monitors the annual budget and, at this time, ACS is on track to end its fiscal year in the black. Praise God for His provision during this year!
I hope this has provided you with some insight into the financial aspect of ACS. The Board takes very seriously the fiduciary responsibility that God and the families of ACS have entrusted to us. Please feel free to contact the School if you have further questions.
Cory Olson
ACS Treasurer
