We believe:
- The Bible is the Word of God, inspired, inerrant, infallible, and the sole authority for faith and practice.
- God as triune, His personality and external existence expressed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, atonement for sin, and justification by faith in Him apart from human merit.
- A bodily resurrection, and the personal imminent coming of Christ for His own.
- The present ministry of the Holy Spirit is to indwell and fill the believer for witnessing, learning, and living a Godly life.
- The creation and fall of man as written in Scripture, and that in Adam all have sinned unto death requiring regeneration by the Word and by the Spirit.
- The local church is God's primary plan for this age, with Christ as the Head.
Having described our Statement of Faith, Appleton Christian School respects that there will be doctrinal differences in a student body this large. Therefore, students will be referred back to their parents and/or local church.
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible (i.e. the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament) is the Word of God, inspired by God, infallible, and the sole authority for faith and practice.
The Trinity
We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit; that these are equal in Divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, justice, righteousness, truth, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men. He hears and answers prayer. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, Perfect God and Perfect Man, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and that He will come again personally and visibly to the earth to judge the world and establish His everlasting kingdom.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who comes forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
Regeneration
We believe that the universe and all that it comprises, the earth, all the different kinds of animal life, and mankind were created by God, as set forth in the Bible, and did not arise through any form of evolution. The first man, Adam, fell from grace through sin. Since that time, all persons are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and in belief, trust, and obedience receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives are forgiven of their sins, are made spiritually alive, and, by the empowering of the Holy Spirit, are enabled to live Godly lives.
The Church
We believe in the universal church, a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ and associated for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.
Judgment
We believe that Jesus Christ shall return personally and visibly to the earth and shall judge the earth and all persons, living and dead. Those who have received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord shall have eternal life with Him in His kingdom. Those who have not received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord shall suffer everlasting condemnation in the lake of fire.
