Out of the Mouths of...
…ACS Students
- I’m so sad. After this year I’ll only have two more years at ACS. I love our school. ACS Middle School Student
- I like being a student at ACS middle school because the teachers know so much and force you to think. The students are encouraging and friendly. ACS Graduate
- I love being a student at Appleton Christian School. First, the teachers bear all of the fruits of the Spirit. For example, they all correct gently and lovingly, and they are so joyful about our learning. ACS Graduate
- I like ACS because the atmosphere is full of loving people who like to have fun. I like the fact that I have friends that love the Lord also. I am very fortunate to be able to go to this school and express my love for Jesus. The love of the teachers is evident as they teach. ACS Graduate
- I appreciate the teachers and staff at Appleton Christian School who are committed and dedicated to their jobs, beyond what they are paid to do. The teachers go out of their way to see that students learn, and small class sizes make learning much easier. ACS Graduate
…ACS Parents
- I recently attended my daughter’s fall conferences at North High School and wanted to compliment the ACS faculty on preparing her for high school. Her Spanish II teacher wanted to know where she went to middle school because her pronunciation is excellent. Thank you for offering Spanish to our students. Our daughter had several years with Mrs. Stelzner and then she had the Rosetta Stone foreign language computer program. She is doing well in Spanish II thanks to ACS. Also please pass along thanks to the other teachers as her Civics and Science teachers noted her organizational skills (kudos to Mrs. Schlies) and her knowledge in her subjects she has this semester. I hope ACS continues to offer the language program so our younger daughter will have a chance to excel when she gets to high school as well. Thank you for all you do. ACS Parent
- We have been blessed beyond words by the heart of Nancy Menn and her commitment to the students she works with in her Dyslexia Reading Program. Nancy has worked with our son for over three years, and the changes that we have seen in his reading skills, attitude toward school, and overall confidence has been dramatic! ACS Parents
- Thanks for the foundation ACS has given our girls to be the stand-up Christians they were meant to be. Alumni Parents
…ACS Teachers
- I continue to teach at a Christian school, first and foremost because God has called me to teach. I love teaching at ACS because of the love that comes from the students, families, faculty, and staff. As we teachers receive God’s love and experience forgiveness, that love and forgiveness then pours from us to our students. It is the people who make the difference. The work of the Holy Spirit is evident in the families whose children come to our school where their lives are shaped by the unchanging word of God. Mrs. Heidi Davis
- It has been such a privilege teaching middle school Bible at ACS. Witnessing the students making a move from following their parents’ faith to taking ownership and a stand to follow Christ on their own is a daily blessing that I hope I never take for granted. Mrs. Leslie Gerstl
- I received a degree in Christian Education thinking I would pursue Children’s Ministry at a church or a camp. It wasn’t until God led me to ACS that I realized school is the most effective place to minister to children. I don’t just teach children about God one hour a week or one week of the year: I am able to show them how their entire lives are different because God is the center. Mrs. Shawna Goldstein-- Teacher and Chaplain
…an Appleton Christian High School Graduate
- Excerpt from a letter written by an Appleton Christian High School graduate who was in her senior year at Bethel College to our English teacher, Mrs. Lynn Schlies: I just wanted to thank you personally for taking the time and effort to teach all of your students the essential elements of paper writing. The knowledge I have gained in this subject has stayed with me throughout college…I just hope that all of your students realize what a blessing you have been to us, both as an English teacher and as a Christian role model. Laurie Werner

2006-2007 Stanford Achievement Test Results

Please note that the Stanford Tests were given in the 7th month of each grade. The score indicates the level at which the students, as a group, tested in grade equivalents. For instance, ACS students in the seventh month of second grade scored at the level of students in the third month of fifth grade, placing them 2 years and 6 months ahead of the norm. This does not mean that they are able to be in fifth grade but their score is what would be expected of fifth-grade students in the sixth month of school. We are grateful to God for the ability and desire He has placed in our students to do well and for the excellent teaching skills He has given our teachers.
